How do I add a relative who has passed away to the Kado Family Register?

Open “Add a name”, write their full name, the nickname people called them, the part of Kado where they lived and the years, and tick “They have passed on”. You do not need an account. The museum's keeper checks the name, then it appears in the Family Register with “Passed on” on their card.

Step by step

  1. Go to Add a name.
  2. Write their full name and the nickname people knew.
  3. Choose the part of Kado where they lived, and the years if you know them (only the year, for example 1952).
  4. Tick “They have passed on”. Add a portrait photo if you have one.
  5. Press “Add to the Register”. The curator checks it before it is shown.

More about this

Do I need an account to add a name?

No. Anyone can add a name. If you join the museum first, the names you add are listed under My Register entry so you can follow them.

What if I do not know the exact years?

Leave the years empty, or write the year you are sure of. You can write “about 1930” and the museum keeps 1930.

Can family share memories of them?

Yes. Members can share a memory or a prayer on the person's page. The curator reads every memory before it appears.
